Pamir Institute of Higher Education

Pamir Institute is one of the private institutes, established in 2011 in Khost Province of Afghanistan. It is the first private institute in South-east Zone of Afghanistan which is registered with the ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan (Reg.# 40/72). Pamir is now operating in four sections (BBA,BCS,LLB and BEL) along with three Diploma programs such DBA,DIT and DEL. So for, we have four batches graduated for the mentioned faculties who are now working with government and non-government organizations inside and outside Afghanistan. Pamir always tries to maintain its quality according to its slogan which is (QUALITY IS OUR GOAL). Considering needs of Khost people, Pamir plans to upgrade its higher education from bachelor level to Master, establish some branches in the nearby provinces. Pamir welcomes all Afghans who want to attend standard higher education without considering tribe and race, and wish all the best for the future of Afghanistan.

The Chancellor of Pamir University Syed Karim Shah Nekmal participated in the special meeting chaired by the Governor of Khost;

Today, Sunday, the 15th of Mizan, a special meeting was held under the leadership of Khost Province, in which the head of the Department of Economy of Khost Province, Maulvi Akhtar Muhammad Ikrama, the Chancellor of Pamir University and the responsible scholar of the Association of Private Universities of the Southeast Zone, Syed Karim Shah Nekmal and the province's Industrialists and representatives of various committees participated. The meeting, which was held on the occasion of the construction of an industrial exhibition at the level of Khost province, was requested from all industrialists and representative  to participate in this exhibition. At the same time, the problems of the industrialists and various commercial representatives were also heard in this meeting, which were assured to be resolved by the relevant officials during the joint meetings. In this special meeting with the representatives of industrialists and various commercial representatives, Professor Nekmal said that high taxes in the financial part of private universities, lack of attention of the government to the private sector, non-observance of the procedures related to entrepreneurship and lack of support to entrepreneurship. It is one of the problems that, according to him, has had a negative impact on universities. At the same time, Prof. Nekmal welcomed a national exhibition by Ganjeena company with the help of industrialists of Khost province and asked all the participants of the event to prove their presence in this exhibition. Professor Nekmal asked the officials of the Department of Economy to provide development opportunities for export goods through marketing, to create opportunities and incentives for domestic and foreign businessmen, and to create technical and informational services for businessmen. Pamir University held its regular administrative meeting.

Yesterday, Monday, the 9th of Mizan, 1403 AH, Pamir University held a periodic administrative meeting. This meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Pamir University's Professor Syed Karim Shah Nekmal, was attended by university vice-chancellors, heads of faculties, heads of departments, administrative and teaching staff. In this meeting, a discussion was held regarding the evaluation of the delegation of the supervision department of the Ministry of Higher Education and it was emphasized that the recommendations made as a result of the evaluation should be implemented. In this meeting, Professor Nekmal, Chancellor of Pamir University, said that the purpose of the administrative meetings is to realize the dream of higher education and to multiply the impact of education to the people as a result of shared ideas. He talked about the best administrative relations, coordination, as well as the seriousness of the employees in their duties. At the same time, other participants of the meeting also shared their views on the topics and said that they will fulfill their responsibilities in the best possible way. The Board of Supervisors of the Ministry of Higher Education conducted a general monitoring and evaluation of the academic and administrative activities of Pamir University.

In a meeting held in this regard, the delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education's Academic Affairs Supervision and Training Directorate appointed Yamin Shams, the General Manager of the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Private Bachelor of Student Affairs, the General Manager of the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Academic Affairs of the Emirati Bachelor. A seminar was held for the 7th semester students of Computer Science Faculty of Pamir University about the new guide of monograph.

The said seminar, which was focused on the topics of research, writing, organization and defense of monographs and projects, was presented by the Chairman of this university Mr. Syed Karim Shah Nikmal. In this seminar, the Chairman of Pamir University, Syed Karim Shah added that the changes in a process should be mastered and he considered it necessary to evaluate the changes in order to measure the changes. At the same time, Mr. Nikmal also thanked the Department of Research, Compilation and Translation of the Ministry of Higher Education for authorizing the universities to write according to the new guidelines for students' monographs. The students participating in this seminar also expressed their happiness that such seminars on university and scientific topics are presented to them on different occasions. The new practical guide for monograph writing has been authorized by the Department of Research, Translation and Compilation of the Ministry of Higher Education to universities/higher education institutions, in order to systematically familiarize students with research, methods and monograph writing.
